2008 Clayhouse Wines Adobe Red

Just opened a bottle of the 2008 Clayhouse Wines Adobe Red, a blend of 40% Zinfandel, 17% Syrah, 13% Petite Sirah, 9% Malbec, 6 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Petit Verdot, 6% Tempranillo and 5% Merlot.

Hmmm - let's see - that adds up to 101 % enjoyment of this blend "created for that rebellious, hedonistic red wine lover inside of you, rustic like the adobe but refined with sensous dark fruit flavors" Really now - who writes this stuff!!!!

Not a bad bottle of red for the price (about $10). I'm a sucker for Zinfandel and that flavor profile dominates with the fruity notes that I love. The website doesn't list any residual sugar in the wine analysis, but I can taste it, leading to a nice balance that makes it very drinkable and smoooooooth.
