2009 Stoneleigh Pinot Noir

Opened up a New Zealand Pinot Noir tonight, as I am putting the finishing touched on the playlist for tomorrow nights all New Zealand episode of Red Red Wine on a Sunday.

This one is from the Marlbourough region of New Zealand and is nice and spicy, with sweet red fruit aromas and the first sip smacks you up like a bite out of a red plum. Hmmm - I'll be going back for more of this one, since my local market has it on sale for $8.99.

This is gonna go really well with a the lamb stew I've got bubbling away on the stove. For the next bottle, I bet some hearty meat pies would go well with this wine.

Cheers!
