2009 Chateau Briot Bordeaux

It's a clear but cold day here at the Pinhead studios. Putting together the playlist for tomorrow night's show (centered on Sophomore albums). Cracked open another French red for inspiration - it's a 2009 Chateau Briot Bordeaux.

Here's some info on the wine ----> Michael Skurnik Wines

The wine is not bad considering it's $4.99 price tag at my local Trader Joe's. Lotsa green Cabernet notes that drown out the fruit, but very drinkable. Found a great website recently called the Silly Tasting Note Generator. Let's see what I can come up with -

Intense but equally meandering red. Forcefully bites you with smoked bacon, open-ended toasty oak and corpulent celery. Drink now through never.

Yeah, the tannins have some bite, but celery? Never tasted celery in wine, but then again, never tried to.....

Cheers!
